March 26 Line-up

Spring is here… but the “Cold” in Cold Reads only means they are new scripts, you know?

"Spring is coming soon" with birds and flowers on a tree with snow

Scripts by the following playwrights and/or screenwriters will be featured at this Sunday’s Cold Reads:

  • All Quiet Along the Niagara by Dave Healey
  • Kill Woman by Judith Johns Fiore
  • The Westerners by David Ralph
  • Writer’s Challenge by Donald Carr

As well as musical guest: Abigail Lapell

Abigail Langel with guitar, black and white

Toronto’s Abigail Lapell draws freely from folk-roots, indie and punk rock traditions. She received the 2016 Colleen Peterson Songwriting Award from the Ontario Arts Council, and NOW Toronto called her a “musician to watch” in 2017. Lapell has toured across North America, Europe and the U.K., performing on vocals, piano, harmonica and finger style guitar. Hide Nor Hair, her sophomore CD/LP, is out now via Coax Records.
