The Toronto Cold Reads Writer's Group is an extension of the Toronto Cold Reads Series. Our goal is to facilitate the development of new scripts. We do this in four ways;

1.  TABLE READ + DRINKS - We get together every Saturday evening (usually around a bonfire) with actors, and other writers to hear new work out loud. We then provide notes to the writer with the ultimate aim of encouraging new drafts. Beer, wine and snacks are provided.

When the group feels like your work is ready, we will recommend it for a reading by professional actors, as part of the Toronto Cold Reads Series' regular Sunday events at The Social Capital Theatre.

2. WRITE UPS - Meet as frequently as possible, in various venues & living rooms around the city, to simply sit in a room together, and force each other to write.

3. NOTES - Members of the group may submit their work to each other for notes. We will even organize a formal 'Notes Night' where 2-3 scripts can be discussed at a time.
